When was the club founded:
The Club was founded in 1935, has had a couple of name changes since then. We were incorporated in August 1959

What does the club do:

• We train for Obedience and also Show on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
• We conduct Four (4) Obedience trials per year.
• We hold Two (2) Championship shows One (1) Open Show and Four (4) Members Competitions per year
• We also conduct lectures/information days on the Breed, conformation, training and health.

Interesting information about the club:

• We currently have approximately 350 members
• We own our Clubrooms and Lease the land at West Beach
• The Club was the first Club to hold Endurance Tests, it introduced Flyball to our members in the early 1990, in the early 1980’s the club conducted Schutzhund (now IPO) training, however it was apparent that this was not suitable for most of our membership.
